Description

Welp, since somebody finally went and made a DeviantArt group for this whole AATR godmode alternate universe thing we've been mooning over on Tumblr, I suppose it's time I finally post my stuff for it here! This is my godmode, The Wanderer; there's an official template we're supposed to fill out, but that will take me a little more time.

Design and concept belongs to me.
Made for :icongathering-of-gods:

“Please, I prefer ‘uberpowered supernatural entity’. Or better yet, just call me the Wanderer.”

Specific Powers:

    - Creation abilities that allow for wish-granting, although usually the kind of wish that involves either the creation of a physical object, the relocation of something/someone, or physical healing. She avoids actually manipulating peoples’ thoughts or actions.

    - The Wanderer is basically made of celestial light. This allows for the usual cool light powers, such as, but not limited to: illusions, lighting up dark places, epic light shows, and the ability to move at the speed of light. Also lightning, although usually only for epic lightshows.

    - No, seriously, she can move that fast. She can move so fast it’s like she’s teleporting. You can ask her to run around the world and meet you back at this spot and she’ll be back almost before you can blink. Makes her EXTREMELY hard to catch when she doesn’t want to be caught.

    - Her “wings” can change size and shape at will and are more of a motif than for actual flight; she can fly no matter what form she’s in. Like an uberpowered supernatural entity do.

    - The ability to show up pretty much anywhere at any time. Even she doesn’t always know why she comes to certain places at certain times, but she is content with the knowledge that the need usually reveals itself in due time.

Description:

The Wanderer is a kind-hearted and deeply compassionate being who seeks those in need of help. She wanders the whole of the mortal world, seemingly at random, and usually disguised as an average human woman. It is said that if the Wanderer deems you worthy, she may grant you a wish – albeit she gets to decide if the wish itself is worthy of being granted.

Of course, it should be noted that it’s not “said” by many people, since hardly anyone knows she exists. This is due less to her disguises and more to her refusal to be worshipped. The Wanderer tries very hard to prevent mortals from setting her up as a “god”; she insists that this is a title only worthy of the Most High (The Father, The Triune, “I AM”), whom she serves. The Wanderer is so adamant (polite, but adamant) about this that if mortals won’t listen to reason on the matter, she will sabotage their efforts to set her up as a god (i.e. stealing icons, messing up construction efforts, making people forget what they are doing when they try to pray to her, etc.). So, yeah. It’s pretty hard to spread the word about someone when they keep erasing their own history. (ALTHOUGH HUMANS ARE PRETTY DARN STUBBORN ABOUT THESE THINGS.)

Aside from these acts of harmless vandalism (and is it really vandalism when the items technically belong to you a’la worshipful offering?), the Wanderer follows a very honest code of conduct. When she’s not helping people or trying to convince her fellow immortals to return their allegiance to the Most High, she’s pretty fun, has a great sense of humor, loves animals, and likes to explore just for the sake of exploring. (Sure she’s been around the Earth a few thousand times, but there’s always SOMETHING new to see!) She also likes hanging out with other immortals when she runs into them – if they want to, of course.

Realm: None. The Wanderer doesn’t have a personal realm, so she is in the mortal world most of the time. But she LOVES visiting other realms, especially those owned by her buddies. Just because she’s a vagrant doesn’t mean she doesn’t like hanging out!

Minions: She doesn’t really have any, although she IS able to endow animals with supernatural powers to serve her when she needs an extra hand. Ex: superfast messenger birds, practically unkillable bear defenders, slightly more intelligent squirrels to play pranks on The Librarian when she’s too focused on her reality-writing, etc. etc. etc…

Alignment:

The Wanderer is sort of halfway between Lawful Good and Neutral Good. On the one hand, her behavior is often dictated by rules that she considers of utmost importance. On the other hand, though, she does not impose these rules on others, since she does not feel it is her task to be an enforcer. (Not to say that she wouldn’t LIKE you to obey those rules, and she might point this out to you, but she won’t MAKE you.) She also genuinely cares about pretty much everybody, even the ones she doesn’t get along with. But because of the nature of her work, she doesn’t usually pick sides in fights unless a) she believes she is being instructed by the Most High to take a side, or b) someone currently or previously under her protection is being threatened.

Other Fun Facts!

    - The Wanderer is weirdly logical when it comes to mortal money: if you just MAKE money, it will mess with the local currency, and if you summon money, you’re stealing it from somewhere else, right? The solution, of course, is that she locates Lost Money. She’s really good at this, it’s gotten her a few treasure chests over the years, which are usually donated to charity because where the heck would she carry any of that?

    - If you try to attack her (assuming she is in her immortal form), her automatic physical response is to scatter into a billion light particles and zip away, preventing her from being harmed. So not only is she hard to catch, when you DO catch her, she’s nigh impossible to hurt.

    - She has a fascination with human inventions and especially loves movies. Her immortal buddies are frequently bugged into having movie nights with her.

    - If you get a wish from her, and you abuse that wish for evil purposes, she WILL take back whatever she gave you. This ain’t no genie you’re dealin’ with, buster.

    - The one sure-fire way to identify her in her mortal disguises is that she always has a pendant of that symbol on her cape clasp.

    - Her hair is made of semi-solid light, and it always does that lazy floating thing when she’s in her supernatural form (seen here). It’s slightly translucent and the white/yellow shifts, as light is wont to do.

    - Her wings are also made of light, but not necessarily solid. You still probably don’t want to stick your hand in there, though, who knows what might happen.

    - The Wanderer is impervious to hot or cold.

    - She tends to show up randomly in other immortals’ realms, although she USUALLY knocks first. It’s pert’ near impossible for just about anyone to know where this girl will pop up next. For instance, at this moment, she’s standing right behind you.
